Bristol Radical Film Festival at Oxford radical forum 2014
The Bristol Radical Film Festival has been invited to the Oxford Radical Forum 28th February - 2nd March 2014, a three-day event for the radical left hosted in Wadham College, Oxford. CMIR Research Associate, Dr Steve Presence, will be talking about the founding of the Bristol Radical Film Festival (2011-) and the more recent project of which it is a part, the UK Radical Film Network, a nationwide support structure for organisations involved in political film culture. His talk will be followed by a screening of William Klein's classic documentary, Eldridge Cleaver: Black Panther (1970), about the infamous Black Panther activist who later became an evangelist Christian and spokesperson for the Republican party.
